BANGSRING UNDERWATER UNIQUE
This beach is managed by a group of local fishermen who named it Bangsring Underwater in honor of the underwater wealth that they share. Previously known as Bangsring Beach, many fishermen used poison and bombs to catch fish, causing many corals to be damaged and die; they lost not only corals but also ornamental fish that lived on the reefs. At the time, the local fishermen took the initiative to rebuild the damaged corals by replanting corals as fish houses. They also educate other fishermen so that they do not use poison or bombs to catch fish.
The corals they planted grew and ornamental fish returned to life on this beach several years later. This beach first opened in 2014, and it was named Bangsring Underwater Beach.
Visitors to Bangsring Underwater Beach can enjoy the underwater beauty by renting snorkeling equipment for 35,000 rupiahs (2017 – 2018). Snorkeling is possible even for visitors who cannot swim because the sea has barriers such as nets and shark breeding grounds. Visitors do not need to be concerned about being swept away or drowned. Visitors can enjoy underwater charms while swimming with sharks.
THE FLOATING HOUSE
In the center of the beach is a floating house measuring 27 x 7 meters and equipped with a toilet, where visitors can see a variety of ornamental fish, and a shark sanctuary measuring 3 x 3 meters for each box. There are also four shark breeding boxes. In addition to sharks, there are lobsters, ornamental fish, and groupers.
